I'm in a position where I'm probably going to have to change the cat on my car. It's a 2.0 on a 57 plate. The garage I went to was superb but said he couldn't source an aftermarket one. He said it will be £1200 fitted if he buys it from BMW.
Can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative?

For a 2.0 ? could you send me a link please? Everywhere I have tried can't supply for the 2.0.

That looks like a great deal OP!
My E86 has thrown up the amber EML a couple of times in the last year (Codes P0420 and P0430) and I seem to be sorting it by resets, doses of Cataclean, using Super Plus and not using it just to go round the corner to the shops and back!
My local BMW Indy reckons new cats for mine would cost around £2K!So I think I'd explore the options, but having a replacement Cat would be a good Plan B!
