Advice on m part values

Good evening all,
Fairly new around here and will be doing a proper hello thread once my new Z4MC is more how I want it.

In the mean time I have some spares which I am thinking of selling (to get the car to my spec) Been around forums for years,so I know this ISNT a sale thread. I spoke to Sp3ctre and he said he was happy for me to post in general sections.

eBay is my usual port of call for valuations but bits are so much rarer than my usual clio/MTB/stereo parts so it prooving harder to judge.

first is a set of genuine BMW e46 CS wheels (cs fronts csl rears) which have just been refurbished in anthracite. I would prefer silver on the car so trying to decide if it's better to sell up and start again or have them re painted once more. The car is a weekend toy so I would probably go for a wet paint over a powder. Hence why you can see it might be better to start again if the numbers work.

Next is a m tri stich steering wheel. Thumb grips have been refurbed/wrapped and there is a Ring drag/scuff on it. It's not massively bothering me but I was treated to a brand new one by a nice lady as a present. So it's wether I swap it out and sell or refurb for a rainy day etc.

Any advice is most welcome. Nothing is for sale at this stage. Threads will be done if suitable as and when in the sales sections.

Thanks in advance.

Chris

If your happy with the wheels I would have thought refurb was the best option unless you are going to by used.

The wheel will sell easily for a good price.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure a set of genuine CS wheels were sold here by Darren with new MPSS for just over a grand I think. The set you have is CS as the rears are identical to CSL but the fronts aren't as wide.

Good M steering wheels go for around £300 I think but condition is everything.

Look forward to seeing what you do with the car.

If Darren's were true CSL then someone else had a CS set as I considered buying them.

He had them for sale for quite a while and it was Mr Wilks who pointed me in their direction.

Tomk had the CS set , refurbed at some point in a graphite I think ? strange they stuck around so long as they were by no means expensive , Darren's were CSLs & virtually brand new again at a great price , you would have to trawl or PM to gain figures as I cba  :D

Thanks folks,
Few names to ping on the searches. Much appreciated.

Won't be reinventing the wheel. CS or csl wheels in ideally original silver, got some reading to do on front scrub with csl. Ideally with some michelin rubber. Got the originals too so perhaps some winter rubber for those. Tidy up the steering wheel. Just get her cleaned up. Still battling with the Bluetooth.. That is passing me right off. Every combo under the us I can find online and still no joy. If only it didn't involve a new phone mounting cradle as well as the adaptors I would gave done that already.

It's my preferred choice of Carbon and carbon leather. Gave up on a champagne interior so that's black as I also had to have the airbag delete.. Love the carbon paint black but it's blue. :D

Sold up from a clio 182 trophy as that was no good for cruising with my daughter at weekends. Brilliant when pressing on .. But that I'm not going to be doing with a 4 month old in the car. Z4MC has plenty of theatre about it even on a cruise.... If she's not in the car.. It's got a bit more theatre about it too :fuelfire:

Amusing that the boot swallows the pram easily...

Try using the button in the panel / cradle that swings down to pair the phone rather than follow the instruction Manuel and use the "stereo" buttons. That's what worked for me.

Plenty of threads on here about it though. The search function works really well if you use the "+" to limit the search to individual words.

Also delete all existing pairings as it will only accept five, but won't tell you when it can't tske anymore.
