Advice on ipod connection please

Looks like a bit of a mine field; my car has got Sat Nav & CD multichanger - what options are available if i want to keep the multi changer?

As you have nav i'd say the best solution is an intravee.

Why do you need a CD changer if you have an ipod?! But with the intravee you can configure it with the Alpine CD changer too with some other Alpine box of tricks (well so my intravee manual says anyway!)
 
I wonder if we need to organise this better. After my initial post then we're all over the place with a range of starting points that people want to get iPod connection for. This is why I was unable to find a solution. How many standard sound system configs are there and do we do a thread for each containing known solutions for each.

I am just getting confused now, sorry

is this a good idea?
