Advice on changing rear discs

I am going to change my rear disks on the 3.0 coupe at the weekend.

Could anyone tell me is there anything different when changing these discs, with the handbrake shoes being inside the rear hubs? I've only ever changed regular plain discs before. There looks like there is a one time use only bolt holding the disc/hub to the car as well as the usual Allen key bolt, can this be reused?

Thanks

Same as the front. Just a bit harder to remove the disc if the hand brake shoe is holding the inside if the disc.

Ok cool. What about the bolt in the middle of the hub. Can you reuse it? It looks like a one time use only with the edges that are manually bent in to we secure it?

Should just be one Allan key bolt holing the disc on.
What your referring to is part of the hub which you don't need to touch.

Give the disk hub centre a decent twat with a hammer and it should pop off. not the edge of the disk on the front face after you have removed the hex screw. don't hit the big nut or raised area of the wheel locator ring.

Try this thread above it has a link to the component parts on a similar BMW.

Its pretty straight forward. You need a decent 16mm socket to remove the calliper carrier. Hub Nut no need to touch. Good luck

The easiest way is to unadjust the handbrake shoes so they do not restrict the removal of the rear disc, then readjust when new disc fitted.

Simple..
