Advice needed.

Was swapping out my grills for some chrome ones when I noticed this radiator wear.



Ignoring the fact that there are what looks like anti vibration rubber hanging down, does this look like a radiator that has done 345 miles since being replaced 4 weeks ago?

And also just to make sure, that is the main radiator and not some air con radiator that sits behind the kidney grills.

That looks like my 100k mile radiator tbh mate.
Most BMW parts have a build date somewhere on them, check that. If it matches your cars date it's the original one most likely.

There was something wrong with it, it was leaking, so I paid for a new radiator to be fitted..

Exactly I always ask for the old parts to be kept so I can check them out myself. I'd check the date on it mate, go back and ask for the old one back if it was very recently.

You know that's the aircon rad, right? In front of the actual rad.

Yeah - as above, this fooled me years ago on a 318 bm - The radiator sits behind this and should look all new and shiny

However, with that much damage n crud it has to be impeeding airflow to the actual radiator, so maybe time to get that replaced as well.

Well that's a load off for the op then!
To fair it's easily done most specialists value customer care so don't be afraid to ask them to show you what's been changed. It's main dealers that tend to be the pricks!

Yes I think give it a good hot jet wash n rinse next time im out n about, all those dead things stuck in it have to go.
