Just had my mc detailed to be told the battery is flat again . Had it checked out once recharged and told it is ok. The lambda sensor light has also come on , don't know if this is just coincidence or not. Had the diagnostic machine put on and clears but comes back after few days. Performance is all ok.been told alot of the problems are that I'm not driving it, and need a trickle charger. What would you all recommend.
Thanks in advance,

I'll swap you my black roadster and cash payment ;)

No battery issues here :)

I've used a CTEK battery conditioner for years. They're conditioners not just chargers so can be left connected and doing their stuff. They're excellent.

Thanks colin , just what I'm looking for . Been told it is due to just pulling out of garage , detailing and putting back , quite sad really . Do I need to leave the bonnet open with this ?

I used to leave my Lotus plugged in for months whilst I was away overseas with no issues whatsoever.
If you're going to be leaving it for a while I would feed the cable up from underneath the car. That way you won't affect the bonnet or alarm.

My CTEK s connected directly to the battery. I always fully close the boot, there is enough give in the seal to ensure the cable isn't squashed.

+1, exactly the same. Have a extension cable on an RCD fed through into the boot, then connected to the CTEK; lid closes with no problem.

do you leave the charger in the boot and close the lid on the mains extension lead?

I have a oxford Oximiser for my Bikes, brill bit of kit, recharges on a tickle charge 0.3 amps (i think) so a very deep charge will even bring dead batteries back to life

well recommended.....

Oh they do them for cars too... stupid me forgot to put that.. Oxford Products is the search you need. and they come with a decent length of cable, no leaving mains cables outside. :poke:
