Advice needed if you will

I'm new on the forum so i'll start off by saying hello, i currently drive an mgtf 135, i know, there like marmite, you either love them or hate them, i'm looking to move up in the world and get a 2.5iSE, with the money i have i think im looking at between an 04 to an 06, just need to decide out of four colors , maldives blue, black, or metalic grey or silver, i'm going to start looking round and taking some out for test drives, is there anything specific i need to look out for on the 2.5iSE, i'm a BMW virgin so any response would be much appreciated, thanks.

Colour is so subjective... Black looks great but hard to keep clean. The Grey and silver both look good and hide dirt quite well. never been a fan of the blue personally - most of the time anyway.

Go look at a few and drive around Get as much kit as you can. Thoroughly recommend the M-Sport seats and Id go for them heated

04 to 06 straddles facelift, so if you get the facelift you'll get the later engine, clear lights and different bumper covers front and rear and different tail lights.

Choose options carefully - seats as mentioned. Sat Nav is well worth getting as are xenon lights. All can be retrofitted but expensive and difficult.

Rest is down to the usual stuff on cars of history, checking everything, panel damage, crease line fit, etc. etc. No real horrors to watch other than making sure the hood is in top condition and it works smoothly.

Definitely go for the M-Sport seats. They are far nicer (to sit in and to look at) than the SE seats.

Only 'must have' option for the Z is Xenon lights. No premium brand car should be without them now.
