No experience of the wheel but if the total price is only £489.99 for the wheels and tyres then I can bet you're getting a crap set of tyres!

Not had any experience of them either but they will fit.
As Alan says you are getting real budget tyres so I would enquire about buying the wheels only and fit some better rubber.

I made enquiries with that company around 18 months ago when I was debating alloys for my van - they were one of the few companies on ebay who seemed to care about correct load ratings for alloys AND tyres, plus they're fairly local to me so I thought about travelling down to see them.

Very impressed with their help over the phone and would happily have bought from them, but decided to shun alloys on the van in favour of bigger steel wheels. I do recall they offered me different tyres though, so perhaps a call to them and asking for a cost to upgrade to better tyres might be worth trying...

Thanks for the replys

I rang today and can get upgraded tyres for £140 total, taking the total price to around £700 ..

I think this would be the best thing to do, but am still unsure on how these "upgraded" tyres will be :|

I could be wrong, but the 3 series shown looks on larger wheels than 18s, ......more like 20s..
you could do with seeing a photo of the actual wheels with the tyres fitted. they may not look as impressive as shown

Who makes those wheels? They look great but may not be very robust. For that price, I'd hold out for someone on here to sell their 18s.

Talking of vans, did you ever get that conversion finished? If you did, post some pics mate, love to see how it turned out!

Yep, all finished and VERY happy: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=18924&hilit=campervan&start=15#p308579

Do it properly, i.e. OEM wheels and tyres from dealer. I never consider unknown aftermarket stuff.

What like those quality 108s that I got rid of because they were deteriorating so badly the air started leaking on the rims :poke:

BMW quality, as with the springs, the hydraulic valve lifters, the roof motor seal, the electronic steering, the fog light seals, etc, etc, etc, no wonder they put warranty prices up, they perhaps should make their cars a bit more reliable.. :headbang:

All split rims have this issue not just 108's, so not really a fair comment.

springs... well it's a sports car with hard suspension on shite roads, so they do take quite a beating...

roof motor... keeps your drains clear...

can't speak for the other two points you mention (fogs and valves), but cars aren't perfect and compared to other manufactures I think BMW have done well.
You always have the option to sell if your not happy... no one's forcing you to keep the zed. :poke:

So that means it's acceptable then?

Plenty of sports cars out there that don't have to replace broken springs, and on the same roads, probably exacerbated by the runflats they put on BMW's.

Roof motor, doesn't say in handbook keep the sh*te design of 'too small a diameter drain hole' clear, only experience of problems highlight this. and for most pre-facelift owners the damage has been done and they are a ticking bomb.

BMW have done well ? so they should, these are £30K+ cars... a premium product supposedly, they are not Kia's..... but even they can give you a 7 year warranty. Doesn't mean I want a Kia, but if they can do it why cant BMW.
.
I like the cars, but I don't want expensive problems that they are more than aware of, but like the steering problems, choose to not recall.
Luckily I haven't experienced it on mine but would still have it changed if BMW paid.
