So I'm going to call 02920 601 294 rather than the 0871 number, I'm assuming it's the Cardiff geographical code then it should be free (based on my free minutes bundle on my mobile)?
A lot of companies wont take your call unless you come through on a NGN, in our case through symposium.
We've had quite a few personal DN's taken from call backs / email signatures etc. posted on the web and those members of staff get inundated with calls.
I always do what Ruby suggested, after ID&V just ask them to call you back.
That's good and nice of them Ruby, but quite often I'm on hold for over 5 minutes at the beginning waiting to speak with someone so isn't an option until they answer the call.
I have just finished my year or purgatory with Admiral. Never again.
We got a multicar and had my 18 yr old daughter on one of the cars. Cancelling her created such a nightmare for 'Bernard' based in India and with a heavy Indian accent but he assured me he really was called Bernard.
It went from bad to worse and they took a month to send our NCD record which nearly caused our new insurance to be cancelled as they were demanding it.
Odd how they always mention the fact that ins co's speak to each other and have electronic records and yet seem incapable of electronically sending a proof of no claims or checking it on their superduper (paid for by us) computer systems
