Adjust/lower trunk lid, gap?

Hi.

I'm very picky about my car and have compared it to many others :)
It seems that I might have a small gap on the trunk lid, do you know if I can adjust it?

Nothing have been done to the car before, maby the co-workers at BMW just had a bad day?

How it is today

Is there any other way to adjust the trunk without touching the hinges?

Are there more bumper stops on top of the trunk?

Thanks!

I'm not sure about coupes specifically, but generally speaking, for more adjustment of the areas you indicate, one adjusts the latching mechanism. The mounting holes are a bit oversized, you can often lower the assembly a bit by just loosening the mounting bolts. You can typically get more adjustment by de-mounting the assembly and making the holes a bit more oval.

I can't see anything wrong either... If you have screwed the circled spring-loaded stops right in then I don't know what else you can do :idunno:

Thanks for your replies guys!

As you can see on the silver car the "trunk line" is below the line of the fender, mine is a few mm above.

Ill try the locking mechanism as well as the rubber bumper stoppers on the inside of the trunk.

I'm a f*cked up perfectionist and it's a pain in the ass :) :driving:
