adjust lights for abroad

hi,

I have a 2003 Z4 with halogen lights.

Tried adjusting the lights for going abroad (testing them out as I go in a week or two), but could not see much of a difference in the light pattern and don't have an adequate place to check them. Now I'm not sure which way they were originally having switched them back and forth a few times :?

Can anyone let me know the switch location, i.e. up for UK, down for Europe or vice versa?

Not much help, but my solution was to just not drive at night

I've driven in France regularly the last seven years in a variety of cars and all I've ever done is to lower the headlights a tad using the dashboard-mounted headlight adjuster. On the autoroutes even that isn't really necessary TBH and I've never been flashed or stopped....
