Adjust catch plate on passenger side - wind noise

Hi

I have wind noise from passenger side and tried the windows reset etc. It seems the noise is from the door itself.

How easy is it to adjust the catch plate to move inwards, thus providing a tighter seal, and is 1mm enough? Just want to avoid taking her in for someone to do just this for a price! Anyone done this successfully?

It's very easy, loosen the screws making sure you made a note/mark of where it is (it will drop down a bit when you undo it). Then move it in mm by mm until you have no wind noise.

That's how I done it at least :D

Ok cheers, I will put masking tape around to mark origin. Will let know if we have success (when it stops raining!)

OK a quick trip to halfords to get a fitting to loosen it and RESULT, the major wind noise has reduced drastically. There is still a bit from the front of the door now, so I may have to tweak a bit more, but at least the major horrid noise (like the door was open) has gone,

Cheers mate!
