Adding to Insurance Mileage Limit

Has anyone had to increase their annual mileage limit with Adrian Flux, or for that matter any other insurer? I'm fairly sure I'm going to need to add to mine in a couple of months and trying to work out whether to add miles, or just move both cars early to Admiral Multi Car.

Got a shed for the commute now, which is helping :) My hooning rate in the first 5 months of onwership equated to 15,000 miles per year! :oops:
 
Same here, stellar in the first sunny months (and why not sir?) dropped over winter and now climbing again. I "might" just make it but proper preparation etc.
 
Mine was at 18,000, when I renewed I dropped it to 15,000 and it dropped almost £100 off the premium for the year. However after almost exactly 6 months I have done almost exactly 9,000 miles (though there's an unplanned 1,000 mile trip in there...), so I may have been premature in my optimism :cry:

Guess when I get close I will start taking trains more for work, as I need to try and keep under 10k business miles to avoid getting paid less pence per mile anyway. I hate trains though :x

And thanks for reminding me - I need to tell my insurers that I have taken my winter tyres off :thumbsup:
 
I had to increase from 5,000miles a year to 10,000miles a year with Adrian Flux, premium went up about £150 - but that was on my SK2 not the Zed. I just emailed them asking for price and then called them back with credit card details.

I think I had to sign a new declaration too. fairly quick and painless - apart from the paying part!
 
Thanks. I'll check my option which are either extending, or ending the policy and going to Admiral. I'll need to do this in the next month or so and will report back
