Adblue, why so much

some website i found says 620miles per litre. so 80 litres is enough for 49,600 miles, which could therefore be anywhere between 2 and 5 years supply.
 
I used to buy it in bulk, 40 litres maybe, but not 80.

But then it was only going into one car, and so if he has 2 then maybe it makes sense.

So much cheaper in bulk, and similar to fuel mpgs, the usage you see online is usually wildly inaccurate.

I'd get through 40 litres a year doing 25-30k in my A4

I live in farming country. I of two local garages who have red diesel pumps, just like all the others only cheaper! My neighbour put about 2 litres in his van (by mistake) from a Jerrican and got into all kinds of sh*t when the garage serviced it. It doesn't half make a mess apparently.

The AdBlue was actually clear in the tubs, so didn't have any dye in it.
