Adaptive Throttle Reset.. Confusion?

Please help me clear this up... I have read many posts saying 10 seconds, 15 seconds, position 1, position 2, on position, off position.....etc..

According to my owners manual you have four key positions..

0 Steering locked (just put the key in)
1 Steering unlocked (key in and one click turn)
2 Ignition switched on (two click turn without starting the engine)
3 Starting the engine (the "hear the roar" :D position)

Fill in the blanks and correct any errors..

Position X for X seconds, then
Position X for X seconds, then
Start the car

Hopefully this can clear everything up once and for all.. Thanks guys and gals..

Key to ignition, wait 10s
Key to off, wait 10s
Key to ignition, wait 10s (TB should now be reset)
Start Engine

Looks like I missed a step in my fill in the blanks... Is this right EdButler?

Key to position 2 for 10 seconds, then
Key to position 1 for 10 seconds, then
Key back to position 2 for 10 seconds then
crank that bitch?? :driving:

For the second step, I always do 0 (Fully off)

Ive also seen versions without the last step which means it probably works without it. I just follow the instructions i first learnt from this forum!

works for me.

Didn't work for me :x Did the reset in a layby just before a motorway, floored it onto, and on, but when I eased off throttle to about 60/70% she went faster, so now very confused. :?

HELP! :o

Thanks, :driving:

no-one? :tumbleweed:

Some say 10 seconds some say 15... Try for 15 seconds with accelerator. I did both to make sure...

I reset the throttle last night on mine having only had it 3 weeks and can honestly say I've noticed a difference in 1st and 2nd gear changes.

I've done 15 secs. [and more], gear change is no problem it's when I'm foot to the floor in 5th, and then lift slightly instead of slowing she accelerates more :?

Well that's a totally seperate problem nothing to do with the adaptive throttle!

Thanks.

I suspected as much :( bound to be down to some [too] 'clever' electronics :( so need a diagnostic :( at great expense :( .... I think I'll live with it :)

Unless some "bright spark" [get it? ] on here has another suggestion.

Ta. :driving:
