Adaptive suspension for the zm?

Just throwing this out there...

Has anyone come across any vendors that do an adaptive suspension kit for the z4m?

kW and blistien are doing kits for cars that already have adaptive but would it be possible to retrofit to our z4ms?

These kits offer 2 or 3 damper setting adjustability, not sure either if there are any magnetic dampers available in aftermarket?

I asked both Bilstein (RideContro/DampTronic) & KW (DDC) about a kit for our cars when I was researching mine, but both said they had no plans to do a Z4M-specifit kit.

The only company I got a 'maybe' from was Tein for their EDFC system - but it'd have to be a completely custom system and in the £7k range.

There's a company called Tractive, a Dutch company who make oem suspension for KTM/BMW motorbikes. They have a pretty innovative adaptive system which controls pitch/yaw and adjusts individual dampers with sensors placed within the car. All very clever.

I looked into getting it setup in my GTR but they were still very early into their development so ended up going with the Litchfield Bilstein kit. I was at AST UK where I had a coilover kit fitted and developed for my previous Z4 3.0 and they did offer me the option to have the Tractive kit fitted + developed for the Z4 platform.

It was Curtis I dealt with - http://www.ast-suspension.co.uk/

When I first got my Z4MC, 3 years ago, I was going to go for an adjustable AST kit and placed my order with Curtis but I found he was absolutely hopeless to deal with so I cancelled my order. If his "sales" were as poor as that I didn't fancy my chances with any "after sales" I might require from him.

Hmmm.

The reason for the post, well had a test in the new type r the other day... the biggest eye opener for me was the magnetic dampers, in both modes they were incredible. With 19s running 235/35 profile tyres all round, the ride on the roads was smooth, firm but not a jolt of crashyness on any road pothole/blemish... simply unbelievable, the car was also great but that's a nother post.

My subsequent thought, how much would a magnetic damper setup cost... this is the first bit of car tech that has geniunely made me go 'hmmmm' :)
Just going to google what else has magnetic dampers.

You can get the mag ride as an extra on a lot of Audi's now if that's any help?
