Adamski's avatar

I have not recovered from the last meeting with a southerner at my place, spending all morning de-scratching a side of a Z4 and then finding out the car being sold within a week or so after that.

Bitter? Nah :D I won't mention gannet's name to save him the embarrassment

to be fair it was longer than a week after... I'm sure the new owner appreciates the effort as much as I do :D

and it all caught me by surprise when the deal happened :o

So pvr is a detailer? My car needs a detail :)

He's in Surrey though Adamski - That's a trip to better mine, and it'd be filthy by the tie you got home again !

The time has come.....

Just spotted I've broken the 3000 post mark, so thought it a good time to change the avatar :)

Keeping the Keith Lemon theme

Oi, I am not a detailer. I just happen to be anal and bought all the gear in excessive doses :D

Just meant that you have the skills ;)

I know you're not a detailer for a living...

With a black car you need to do the same as I, booked my new X5 at the company in NL that adds the protection layer (teflon like). Will prevent any scratches or holograms in the future.

Expensive though, my M was 500 Euro for the treatment but never needs polishing though.

Nice new avatar - needs o be bigger though ! And congrats on 3k posts - not bad for 7 months

Limited number of locations, mainly NL, Monaco and a few places in France I think. You get the whole protection kit for after care and is nothing like the stuff that BMW dealers try to sell here.

It prevents the stone chips to some extend as well (have only 1 on the front of my car), the teflon gets hit first and you might get a little bit of that coming off instead of the paint.

** edit - looks like other places as well, not aware of the UK one though.

Not required, part of the service. I sent a Belgium forum member to them and his black Z came out better than new.

explains the process and the layer on top.

I can confirm that my M after 4 years still looks better than new, and has 0 scratches, no holograms and no marks what so ever on the paintwork, no matter what light is used.

pvr - how long does it take them to do ? I assume you drive over, leave it with them, but for how long ?

It takes a full day and yes, I do drive over but I stay with family.

I can't remember if I had to leave it over night last time though.
