I’m up for that. What time does it start
Please?
I NEED YOUR REGISTRATION NUMBERS !!!

If I don't have it, you WON'T get in
If anyone else wants to come, forward the above details ASAP

I am being asked by the Ace cafe for this information ASAP so I may have to close this earlier than I thought.

I have sent messages to all the people on the list, (if you don't have "confirmed" by your name on page one you won't get in). They are not allowing cars to park on the road outside, due to road works.

So just to be very clear

I NEED YOUR REGISTRATION NUMBERS !!!
If I don't have it, you WON'T get in !!

I would love to join. This would be a first meet up for me. I will send a PM with my details and see you all there :driving:

Just looked on the Ace Cafe website and there is an Audi Owners club meet after us at 6pm. I might have to drive home in the Z4MR, change to the R8 and drive back

Not familiar with the Audi Owners club though so will have to check it out. Sacrilege I know!

Hi all.
Regarding the news today about the ban on any gatherings of more than 6 people as from monday,
There are exemptions so would the meet be exempt 🙄🤞🙏

[ref]firebobby[/ref], Sorry Fred, going to have to wimp out... was looking forward to it, but the wife is a little anxious over this Covid stuff and the change of rules today so I'm not allowed out

Will definitely catch it next time! :driving:

Maybe time to rebrand as a Z4-themed sports team? Because those are exempt 😂. Car football?

Looking at what has been said on a BBC article about this:

BBC political correspondent Nick Eardley pointed out that pubs and restaurants would be allowed to have more than six customers inside, but that the groups of six would have to be socially distant from each other.

The rationale behind allowing this, but not allowing larger groups of people inside other people's homes, is that businesses can only be open if they follow safety and hygiene measures set out by the government, he added.

So as Ace Cafe is a cafe and we are effectively placing a booking... They might still go ahead with it but implement more stringent social distancing measures? 🤷‍♂️

Ok, just spoken to the owner of the Ace, he will know more later today.
At the moment, as long as we keep our distance and don't gather in groups of more than 6, we should be fine. Because the carpark is big, we should still be fine...at the moment.
I will update when I know more, but fingers crossed

Well that's that then I guess. :(

Strange though, as I phoned the Beaulieu Motor Museum this afternoon about the "Simply BMW" meet on the 4th October and the implications of the "Rule of Six" (save me from these puerile three-word slogans from Messrs Johnson and Cummings). Their view was that as they exercise full social distancing measures inside the museum, and the cars would be in nominated parking spaces, this and other events would still go ahead, with the requirement that people kept to groups of six or less whilst in the car park.

Anyway, thanks for your work in orgainising this Fred - hopefully we'll have better luck next year...

I spoke to the owner today and he confirmed that the Z4 meet is cancelled for this year they can't accept groups or official meets.
But you can turn up and if there are vehicles the same as yours...coincidence ??

We are still going up next Saturday morning around 9 for breakfast, if we see another Z, we will come and say hi
