AC Schnitzer vs BMW Aero

Hi folks,

thinking about changing my front bumper for something a lil more aggresive. Much as I love the //M front bumper I also like having my foglights! So its either going to be a BMW aero front or an AC Schnitzer, possibly with graphite kidney grilles, but thats for another time. First off what do you guys think, secondly anyone selling any?? :roll:

I like the one on the left. Looks more like the OEM M, just the brake duct is moved to make room for the fog lights.
 
Both look like cheap add ons IMO. The Aero side skirts are a nice mod but that bumper looks like a snow plow which could be usefull.
 
I went through this process 18 months ago and in the end went with a 'standard' facelift front end. It retained the foglights and did not end up looking either like an aftermarket bolt on kit or an attempt to impersonate an ///M

If you did go with it then the one on the left looks better.
 
Out of the 2, ACS looks better.

You can also get the ///M bumper and have a shop fabricate some panels to hold the fog-lights in the brake-ducts. Shouldn't be hard.

That said, not sure how much fog-lights are needed in the U.K. At least where I am (Seattle - known for its rain and gloomy weather), fog-lights are never really needed and are reserved for idiotic BMW/Audi/Lexus drivers who want to signify their presence at 2pm on a bright sunny day.
 
I echo Spoon's comments and add the one on the right is about £550 (and looks like its been "stuck" on imo).

As Phil says the facelift variant allows you to keep your fog and retains the OEM look. Theres a pic of a prefacelift blue Z4 with the facelift bumper somewhere.....

For me I think its the BMW Aero one maybe a set of side skirts to follow too. Having looked at all the options out there, not that theres many, I prefer it over the ACS and Alpina OEM kits. The Hamann kit is nice but gonna be out my budget I reckon. Seeing as I cant find any for sale 2nd hand I guess its gonna be a trip to the stealers to get a price, which might just make me change my mind and stick with the original OEM :?
