AC Schnitzer pedal and foot rest

Hi all,

I must say I'm a bit disappointed at BMW insisted on those ugly rubber pedals even for M cars, I know they have a stainless steel option, but to be honest they don't look much better. My old Subaru Legacy 3.0R spec-b had much nicer ones...

I'm thinking of getting a new set of AC Schnitzer pedal for the Z4MC + foot rest, as in my opinion they seem to be the best looking ones out of Hartage, BMW option, and other small tuner shop specials. They're pricey though at ~ £300 for pedal + foot rest.

Any one out there has got any experience with AC Schnitzer pedals on Z4, do they require drilling, or is it a simple screw replacement?

I agree and one of the first mods I made was to fit a set of aftermarket pedals. Sourced off Ebay they require holes drilling in the pedal and then 4 hex headed bolts to hold them onto the original pedal metal. The footrest I customised from a generic one they had to create what I wanted. They look good and I like the rubbers through slots in the allow pedal 'grip'

Dealer supplied new to original owner.

But did you know I built in my own internal door handle LED's, external handle LED's that light the handle recess and puddle lights in the underneath of the doors. All activated from the cabin illumination system, just as the door sill is.

There really is little else I can do to this Zed, but I'll think of something...lol

£300 is a complete joke. there is a company that make any set, which are cheaper.

I did see those mods, and maybe one day I will have ago at them, both nice understated mods inkeeping with the Z4

Not sure about shipping to Australia, but give Ultimate Pedals a look...Thay make a great pedal that looks very sharp. Bought some for my M Coupe...I believe they have an Ebay presence.

You must be mad. I bought a LHD 1996 Z3 1.9 from Germany fitted with the ACS pedals. When I sold it in 98 I took thm off & couldn't sell them so gave 'em away. Think what you could buy for £300! - New Flat Screen TV, Bills etc. Nobody except YOU sees these (very cheaply made) pedals. :headbang:

They look nice, can I ask how much they ehere complete?

Sure, I don't mind...You start with the base set and add on for different surface treatments, inserts, engravings and pedal styles.

I went with the base pedal (not upgraded), added a shiny anti-slip surfacing upgrade (without rubber inserts) and then I added the engravings. The total came to $142 USD.

The break down was: $69 base pedal set, $33 surface upgrade and $40 engraving. If you go to their website (or ebay store) you can see all the different options they have.
 
Be careful in the UK with pedals & rubber inserts/outserts, as the MOT is weird in the way it defines the pedal's non-slip surface.

If the pedal comes with a rubber insert/outsert, then the rubber must be in a condition to provide a non-slip surface, otherwise it's a fail.

However, if the pedal comes without a rubber, then it's only the pattern that forms the 'non-slip' surface that is checked.

It's stupid really as a wet rubber pedal is more slippy than wet metal pedal.

Thank you, it seems the prices have gone up as I'm up to 200$ and I can't find the add engraving yet! :D
