AC compressor noisy when off

Hi all came back from a first decent drive of the year to a noisy bearing type of noise that looks to be coming from the ac compressor.

This noise disappears when I switch the AC ON ! And comes back when I switch it OFF !

Any one have some advice on this ?

It is the freewheel of the AC compressor clutch.
Clutch can be replaced separately from AC compressor.

It could be the idler pulley/wheel or even a slack belt. When under load (compressor clutch engaged) things tighten up.

Thanks I’ve got a new clutch might just change the flywheel
