ABS pump gone - Help

Hello,

The ABS pump unit in my 3.0 2007 Z4 is gone. Sent to ECU testing and they returned saying it's beyond repair and a new one is too expensive.

Any idea where I can try to find it apart from Ebay / Quarry Motors UK?

Part number I am after is 34526769164-02

Any suggestions would be much appreciated :thumbsup:

Did they say what the actual fault is with the pump?

Asking because I find it’s easier to take your old pump, split in half (brains and mechanics parts) and swap with a donor unit if you can’t find the exact unit you need

Remember if you do swap units it will need recoding to the car

had a similar problem with my ABSpump some years ago. The mechanic who does the maintenance of my car had it repaired somewhere in The Netherlands for a much lower price then a new one from BMW (which after some years will suffer the same issue most probably!)
Can look after that company if interested.

Funnily enough no, they are saying its beyond repair. The pump has signs that someone tried to fix or played with it before so not sure if they are playing safe and not touching it

That could be an option but to send there and have it back might cost same as trying to find 2nd hand on Ebay, specially after ECU Testing having had a look and saying is gone

Hi all,

Me again and my never ending work on this Z4. I keep thinking I'm almost there but maybe I should stop thinking that as something new keeps popping up. At this point, I feel like the car will be like Triggers broom.

My brake pedal was a bit soft/low so I followed some guy on YouTube on using ISTA to recalibrate my DSC. Well that didn't go too well and it failed on the second step and has now given me a 5DD0 error. I kept trying and it wouldn't go past the second step, keeps giving me this error:

You need to find a pump from a 3 series with part number 6790147 and then swap the mechanical parts over, if you just swap the mechanical parts it won't need coding
