ABS Module/Pump (DSC Hydro) P/N 3451-6769162 / 64 required

Hi all,

My amber handbrake warning light turned out to be pressure issues with the ABS Module/Pump.

Indy has provided me with P/N 3451-6769162 (pump) 6769164 (module) but realoem shows it might have been superseded by 3451-6778490

I understand ECUtesting offer repair services for the pump side but I believe I have a problem with the module & pump.

Indy has tried his two regular breakers but didn't come up trumps.

Does anyone have a new, second hand unit or is currently breaking a Z4 which would quote for me please?

Part is across the e85 facelift range 06-08, not just "M" specific luckily. Picture below for reference. Thank you

My amber handbrake light came on with the traction control light and the DSC button was inhibited, code read with a Creator 310+ revealed code set for No1 Brake pressure sensor located on the side of the master cylinder. Put a new one in obtained from ebay at circa £12, code cleared with Creator 310+ and not returned. All dash lights out and function of DSC button restored.

Why not remove the unit and test the motor - Its the brushes that expand and stick normally.
There is a DIY kit to replace the brushes and bearing to sort the motor.
If the Controller needs replacing I believe this will have to be coded to the car.
I also believe ECS can fix the Pump - Brush replacement but not sure if a controller can be fixed - just replaced as you are suggesting.

I have finally been able to get a reader on the car. Snap-On Solus provided me with 5DAA HYDRAULIC UNIT PRESSURE SENSOR INTERNAL.

I had hoped it was a wheel sensor issue. Could this relate to the pressure sensor located on the Master Cylinder like Colb mentioned on the first reply to this thread?

If not I assume it isn't the pump at fault but the actual sensor inside the module. P/N 3451-6769162 (pump) 6769164 (module)

With no symptoms or issues with the car is it okay to drive long term like this until I find a reasonable priced second hand part. Braking isn't affected but equally I haven't hit the brakes hard the check ABS is working. With only the handbrake light amber, DSC is still working fine etc.
 
Some cars, according to posts I have seen, seem to have pressure sensors on the Master Cyclinder, my 30si does not. -The sensors are inside the ABS / DSC pump block.

This fault is internal :
0x5daa 5DAA - inlet valve (IV) rear left: error with cyclical valve and relay test.

If you are a capable DIYer then remove ABS pump and replace the sensor yourself otherwise ECS do a repair service :

applies equally to the Z4 - In which case the answer is self explanatory.

In My opinion - many will probably disagree.
 
Bump. Z4M will be re-taxed from April but I still require an ABS pump/module come MOT time in June sadly. Grateful that the car has been useable due to it being a sensor issue in the module rather than the pump failing.

Is anyone breaking a 06-08 facelift E85 that could provide the 6769172 Pump/6769174 Module assembly or even just the module itself?

Have been reluctant to send away for repair as I have heard a low percentage of modules can be repaired compared to when its a pump fault.

Slim shot I know but thought I would ask..... Thank you all.
