Hello all,
I'm resurrecting this thread to ask a question. I've got the dreaded ABS and DSC warning lights and I've just had the fault codes read confirming its the ABS pump/module. Do you need to drain all the brake fluid to get the pump and module off and then refill/bleed fluid once re-fitted? And if I'm re-fitting the same pump and module after repair, does the car need to be calibrated again or should I be OK. Any help appreciated.
Get the brake pedal pressed down all the way before disconnecting, it will reduce fluid loss. Keep it down until you replace the pump. Yes it will need bleeding with INPA or ISTA-D.
If it's being repaired you probalby will need to calibrate with INPA or ISTA-D as well.
I did it recently and replaced the module as I thought mine was toast so had to code the VIN as well.
I do have a spare ABS module for sale if yours isn't repairable.
