What are the common problems that I should be looking for??
I am looking to buy this week, and there are 4 out there that I have to choose from.
Also, from a performance standpoint, I am coming from a Mini cooper JCW, and there were alot of performance upgrades that were available. What are the essentials for a z4 m coupe that can bring me closer to 400bhp??

Thanks again

Why bother buying a car to upgrade the power, if your not satisfied why not buy a faster car straight out of the box!

Maybe, he likes the Z4MC and enjoys messing about with cars. :D

Always like to buy stuff and do a few tasteful modds, that's the good thing about BMW and mini scene

Yeah guess so, each to there own I guess, see it quite alot on various forums were folk don't appear to be happy with their stock cars, I had an r32 golf before I had the m & meet other folk with r32s and all they talked about was how to extract 300bhp to the point were they were spending £1000s.
Point is I saved my money on tuning & bought the m & big smile.

Luv the looks!!

costa316, start by reading the FAQ. http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15177

It's pretty much had it's neck wrung for 344bhp from naturally aspirated 3.2l. Big money for significantly more power, better off improving brakes if you feel it's required, suspension, tyres and driver training.

+1  I personally think its a shame to spoil such a good naturally aspirated engine. Thats straight 6 is the beez knees. Supercharge a 3.0 by all means.

modifying a car is counter-productive when it comes to selling...

everyone likes to buy a standard clean car (with a standard clean full service history)......

modifying just sends the wrong message.... I am in agreement..... spend more for a pristine car or a better car.
