About to enter the world of no warranty

I have mulled over the warranty/no warranty dilemma and am on the brink of going no, mainly because I want to start adding some modifications to the car such as a Gruppe M and secondly because the warranty is so expensive. Before I really take the plunge I want to be sure of a reasonably close high quality Indy and Moseley Motorsport in Telford look good. Has anyone had any dealings with them as they are under an hour away and likely to be my Indy of choice after parting company with BMW dealers. Any feedback would make me feel more comfortable about no warranty but £800 plus a £250 excess for a 31,000 mile car is taking the rip in my opinion.

I've never used them but Simpsons must only be about 2 hrs away at the most ? Personally I'd use them as it's not too far for servicing an if you have a major problem get breakdown cover to recover the car there and give you a hire car.

For the cost of 2 yrs warranty I'm sure you could source a good used engine leaving just the labour to pay, if it came to the worst. I owner an M3 (very modified) for 3 yrs and had no warranty for 2 of them, I won't be renewing the Z4 warranty in April as it seems to cover less and less nowadays and service from any of my local dealers is pathetic. AUC warranty is slightly better than the extended warranty but this now seems to have a lot more exclusions too.

Paul in Telford(same place?) seems a really nice bloke and very knowledgable on our cars. I only went thesr to reprogramme the roof/alarm etc but he has a great reputation. If I lived nearer to him I would ditch my warranty and rely on him.
