Congratulations Bill

Great car and spec

Next job change those Bridgestone runflats.

I've got Pirelli RFT's and they are night and day better than the Bridgestone.

If you go non runflat then remember to buy a mobility kit.
Thanks bud. I'm out of funds so will replace them when they go bald! They've got tonnes of life as they're practically new.

If anyone fancies a swap give me a shout :D

Extended leather is great, just a shame they are SE seats and beige

All IMO though.
Agreed - black or kiwi interior with black plastics and sports seats would have set her off beautifully! Ah, beggers can't be choosers :P

:o Wow 3,500 miles really? That's criminal! A very rare colour also! I'm sure you'll enjoy it, well done. :driving:

Well done boyo just get rid of the runflats and enjoy the driving experience. cheers Baz

Cheers all. I will get some proper pics up tomorrow once I give the car I thorough clean! I will also try and get black mats from BMW in the morning if they're open.

Be careful, they may have heaps of tread left but they could be over 9 years old-they tend to turn to Bakelite with age & the grip goes out the window :o

Good call, tyres are very dangerous when they get too old. They advise to change after 6 years old.

Really? Would it make a difference if the car was garaged? Can't see any visible cracking on the tyres themselves however the RF tyre design isn't the best and I'd consider a new set just for comfort!

very nice... has sport pedals too.. not seen another Z4 auto with them!
Thanks dude - didn't even realise that! I've put around 100 miles on it and I love it! Awesome drive! The extended leather is lush, covers the whole door and top where the sun visors are. It's not too bad on fuel too which is a result!

Granted it's not as exciting to drive as my M3 and not as focussed, however its so much smoother than the SMG gearbox and really shifts in sport mode. I think the steering is abit too thin though and I prefer the chunkier M version. I also HATE the tyres, this car really needs a set of Michelin super sports, non run flats - I might change out the entire set in the next month or 2.

All in all i'm so happy with my purchase. I don't do many miles as I work in the city so I hope to keep the car in pristine condition should I sell it a couple years down the line.

Wonder why theres such a keen following of the Z4!

Cheers,

Bill

Great find well done looking forward to seeing more pics
Thanks buddy - i've not had a chance to wash it and i'd never take it to anyone else to wash (including the main dealer as they don't have a clue!).

Once i've given the car a detail I will get some pics up :D

Welcome to the fold Bill, really glad you're enjoying it - what an ace Christmas present :driving:

The auto is ace, it pulls like a train in full auto when you floor it - 'relentless' is the only word that describes the feeling as you barely notice the changes. I still miss mine tbh.

M sport steering wheels come up on here pretty regularly, or on eBay. Or you could send your wheel off to Royal Steering wheels and they'll sort you out a brand new trimmed, sport thickness steering wheel. Loads of people on here have used them, and I've not seen a bad review... Actually, I have seen one but the issue was rectified painlessly by the guys over there.

And yes, get rid of the run-flats as soon as you can. You should be able to shift the RFTs on here or eBay easily if they have decent tread. Worth considering Vreds or Eagle F1s, both brands highly rated on here.

Have fun

A great find indeed :) rare in the PY (one of BMWs finest paint moments imo ) & you must have the lowest miles E85 on the forum if not the island
£400 will see you into a brand new set of staggered 18inch Vredestein tyres that will transform the ride :driving:
Now soak it up , get some miles on & post pics at any opportunity

Cheers gents - very helpful. Loving that steering wheel above! Awesome, i'd probably buy a new one though just to retain the original should it go back to standard spec.

I don't want to ruin this thread but any thoughts on what my car would be worth? I want to know whether i've been royally done in terms of value :D

Cheers,

Bill

I'm not sure of the value of your car as i've never seen one with such low mileage

I wouldn't worry about whatever you paid for it - the mileage makes it pretty unique in itself - you must have had some idea by looking at similar aged models - reckon one with this mileage and 1 owner would easily command another grand /£1500 on top.
