About time to say hello!

Hello All,

Well after a year of being rude and reading the forum and not contributing I thought it about time to start giving my opinion on whether i too need Aero Skirts for my Z4MC or how many MPG i can get whilst having fun in the hills around Edinburgh..... :D

Anyway a little about me i've had my Grey Z4MC for just under a year and can be seen bombing around Edinburgh

Interestingly i'm only starting to love the car, my previous car was a a LOUD Elise R and loved the small input big grin driving. However i'm starting to exploit the car fun bits and getting use to the power which i found limited the car due to speed limits and road conditions

Here's a pic albeit i've done nothing to mine :(

Welcome along, this forum is a great read and source of information.

As DavesZed say's, why mod as it looks great

Just not sure about the thing stuck on top :poke:

Welcome to the forum - looks lovely as-is, though I bet the aero sills will look great once you've got them fitted

Z4MC Tom - to answer your Q's

1. I like aero skirts. If you do too, go for it.

2. mpg wise, depending on your right foot and how heavy it is, I reckon you'll see 17-26mpg.

I don't have an ///M, so this is purely from other posts I've read from ///M owners.

Howdy, welcome, stratus grey?

What colour is the interior.
Thanks for the warm welcome!!! :D

I must admit i do like the roadsters. My mum has a 2.5 si which i drive if i'm down there (she strangely prefers her auto Audi 3.0tdi........ so doesn't mind me borrowing it from time to time). I must admit the sound and ease of power do make non Ms really appealing. My only gripe is that ime the early cars suffer chronically with creeks and rattles and i was too worried about picking up an M with the same problems. Either way open roof driving is great but the Coupe just looks epic and enables me to drive to Glentress to go MTB on the weekend.

As for the interior its extended black leather (i think) and doesn't have Sat-Nav.... TBH my preference would of been the blue with champagne leather but this was rather a good buy from the dealer last year so didn't look back.

I often see a bronze coloured Coupe in West End and although it seems to be a marmite colour i love it!

Anyway here's another pic of my trip to Fort William oh with my Elise as a comparison...

Hey Adam, yer sorry i was referencing popular topics which i've been keeping up with which seem to revolve around a side skirt (people either seem to go all out SpeedSix et al or just wheels and exhaust) also the old favourite peoples hang up between wanting 345bhp and then hoping that the collective answer to how many MPG can i get is not less than 25......

Extended leather is a rare option on coupes, I've never seen one in black either.. Its usually quite easy to spot the leather down the transmission tunnel etc.. be great to see some interior pics too

Well i think its extended then... i'll take a photo and see, also the side bins are leather too (which actually is a bit of disadvatnge as you cant lever the door with your foot whilst getting out (not that i'd want to make it a habit)

The only things i' disappointed spec wise is the hifi and lack of bluetooth? But tbh when your cross the scottish countryside these things dont come into it

I love the Elise in bright orange - why did you take the wheels off though ?

:x

What is it with this forum timing me out!!!!!!!

Right shorter post:

Below is my Elise with the tent a year younger  (notice no black tape, that'll teach me camping in the welsh snow earlier in the year)

Also plate was a gift from my folks when i was.... 21 and i dont really have the heart to take it off

Also i've got to say that although i've been stalking on here for awhile i had the impression that the site wasnt continually busy and quite surprised by how many people have posted considering its a saturday..... (that'll teach me to have my night out on the friday) :D

Great choices of cars and I love Edinburgh so will keep eye out for your coupe next time I'm up there!

Whilst thinking of my mum's car i found a pic which i thought worthy of post.

BTW not usually so picture intensive but hey why not!
