Hello and evening everyone hope we are all well?

Well my name is Scotty and im from Northampton for my sins! Anywho i've been a lurker for a while reading up and checking things out. Some good reading from very knowledgable folks.

Background wise had a varied car life. Was heavily into my classic mini's (still are), then was drawn into the Jap scene. Few FD RX7's. rev 3 MR2 turbo became a father so went sensible. Alfa and Range Rover (classic minis as weekend toys) until I got bored and got myself an 05 Subaru Impreza STi which to be honest. . . I got bored of quickly! Now this is when I was introduced to the world of BMW. Got myself a very nice and tidy E60 530i. Wonderful car owned it for about 18 months which is a long time for me. Recently bought my wife a new car, 11 plate Kuga for the family runs so 5 series was a bit overkill . . . .yep . . perfect chance to get a new toy.

Onto my new car which I have owned for about a month and half. Its a Z4 obviously :roll: . I test drove a 2.5 and 3 litre and were nice cars but a little older and higher mileage than I wanted. Plus wanted something to cruise around in had many fast cars and loss of self control in the past soooooo, and this is where a few may think badly about my engine choice (and quite possibly colour but will leave that for time being), found myself a tidy 2007 2.0 sport. Read up and think for what they are a very nice drive, turn in is great as smaller lump in the front and as I have seen many times on track days just because you have fast car doesn't mean you're a fast driver! :wink: Few little things need doing mainly a wheel refurb although the 108's will be winter rims as new wheels will be on as soon as.

Anyway thats me sorry to rant on and il leave you with a pic. . . il post more in the gallery to keep track on changes that I have planned.

Real nice colour mate! Looking forward to more pics! :)

Welcome along scotty_b.
2.0 Phoenix is a rare thing indeed and you'll have a lot of fans on this forum for the colour. Looking forward to seeing more pictures and posts from you in the future :thumbsup:

Thanks again for the welcome from the board!

I posted a few more pics here;

Not the greatest will crack out the DSLR when I have some more time to give her and camera whats required.

LukeMace - Yep proper Northamptonian. Duston if you know of it. Will be interested in any local meets/hook ups always worth while knowing other like minded people incase help can be offered either way.

The colour I must admit is what pulled myself to the car. Just something different and seen plenty of E46 M3's but not many in Z4 guise.

Welcome along, I'm not sure on the colour personally, but looking in the other thread it seems a lovely spec.

Top pictures! That's gonna be hard to miss driving around!
I used to live in Duston actually! Sir John Pascoe Way a few years back! Now in Brixworth.

Will have to meet sometime and you can show me how the DA works!!

RJS-Z4 - understand colour is a hot topic as I personally not a fan of red cars. I just like it as a little bit different. :) Yeh the spec is nice, the heated seats will definitely come in handy on those cold winter days!

LukeMace - I know that area had a few friends from school who lived that way. Never mind hitting the polisher find it quite therapeutic!! Plus the results are generally always good! :thumbsup: Although the queue is long at present! Still Z4 should only take a day to do my old 5 series took 2 and a half! :o

Infact, not really Z4 related but il post them anyway, few pics of cars ive done a over last few months. Il keep it short. Doh they are on my FB account. Il host and post at lunch.
