about DRL and multimedia display

hello guys! i buy my z4 e86 about 3 weeks ago, and now i want to upgrade this two things in my car.
i've already read some topics in this forum, but don't completely understand. thanks for all, who can help me.

1. DRL. in stock Z4 we have really dead angle eyes, in summer day i can't see them, only in evening.

before Z4 i have BMW F30 320i and i know how to code new bmw (in internet i easy find manuals). but with e86 i dont know where i can find "NCS : PO_ALS_DRL"
if you told me how to go there, i can find guys in my city, who knows about coding on old bmw, and we can do it.
BUT, there's second question: can i do this rings (angle eyes) brighter, than stock? if i turn it on, like DRL, but in summer day they are useless with this level of bright.

2. multimedia. then i buy this Z4 i think, that multimedia in car better with display. but, when i open this display i sit in car like this - :|
i saw many videos on youtube, and this kind of bad graphics i saw for the first time. like one line display projected on big screen. in menu i have only: bort computer, TV, settings and "turn off display". wtf?! car from 2008, not from 1990!
what's the solution of this? can i put here better multimedia? or maybe i must buy player like Alpine with big display and put it in stock roll'd-out place?
or maybe i can update this system. but how? i don't know.

i know, for you guys it's really stupid questions. but, i live in russia, siberia. our services know about performance part's of car, and know NOTHING about things that i want.

You could go hard and do your own angels ie. splitting open the headlights and wiring up your own led halo rings which you can buy from ebay or various online shops. There are plenty of tutorials on here, and you can then go as bright as the ones in my sig during daylight. You just need to fight the fear! :-o

Or I'm sure someone can give you some advice on changing the bulbs for the ones you already have. It depends how dramatic of an effect you want. Probably start with option 2 and keep option 1 in mind for the future.

I can't help with your 'multimedia' problems unfortunately as I don't have one. I think the only way to upgrade your display is to buy a new head unit with a flip out screen, but your current screen will no longer work and you are stuck with a useless part on top of your dash or a big space.

btw. Your questions aren't stupid don't worry, everybody needs advice sometimes and this is the place to get it. (Most members are far better than me to give advice!)

20W lamps and DRL must be more visible in daytime. cool. i try it tomorrow. last question in this theme: must i take out front bumper to take out angel eye lamp ? or i can do it with just opened hood? in my old cars like Opel Astra GTC H i can take lamps without taking out bumper and it's save me a lot of time.
i think we done this with easy way. i buy new 20W lamps and code DRL with computer. thank guys.

okay, with multimedia is more problematic. at last, i want to put in stock rolled-out place player like Alpine (i text it before), so i can watch videos, connect phone with bluetooth and other things that i want in car for 2017 :D
but this way content big finance cost. BUT buying new stock display from ebay just for better graphics - that's mean much more money. i live in russia, for us they price unreal.

as i say, i live in russia, and in russian forum people will start jocking and other things. cause z4 is exclusive car for us :D

Assuming you already have Angel eyes - this thread speaks about increasing the wattage of the bulb. I'm sure you could find an LED equivalent on eBay?!

thanks ! i think i buy lamp with more power, at first. and if this not works good for me - i can take LED.

You should be able to access the bulb from the back of the headlight. Turn your steering wheel full lock so your front wheel is facing inward towards the car. Beneath the front arch should be a square cover. Remove the cover and you can access the back of the headlight.
