About control arm bushings...

OK, getting ready to renew the front control arm bushings and have a couple of questions.

1. I would assume that the $30 eBay bushings are rubbish. Correct?
2. I can easily get Meile and Delphi from Pelican or Amazon; others, not so much. Are these good choices?
3. Are those screws on the reinforcement plate really single use? What???

3 it's a myth imo. Used many times again and again with no ill effects.

MeyleHD are about £21 a pair delivered, for the bushes only. I press the old ones out and replace with new, never replaced the bolts and not had a problem.

Get the offset ones sold for the Z4M, makes the car corner better. In my experience a polybush here has no negative harshness effects but does give a positive steering feel.

A very silly question. With the offset bushing adding caster does this shift the wheel/tires slightly forward from original position with the centered bushing?

Yes, as the wishbone will pivot around the inner ball joint where it attaches to the subframe.

It's not a massive amount - BUT I can imagine if you were running spacers on the front, it COULD theoretically cause rubbing on the arch liner where there was none before..

yeah I hate hijacking the thread, I squared my stance with a set of apex 18x9 running 255/35/18 and lowered so there’s slight rubbing close to or at full lock so with the offset bushing I’m almost certain it’d increase but thought I’d ask since they were being mentioned
