Someone my wife knew died this Sunday morning just gone, in a very similar incident. Don't know all the details, but a lorry jackknifed on the M5, went through central reservation and unfortunately he wasn't as lucky as this chap.
As Taz said, live for the moment, you don't know what tomorrow brings. He was only 30.
I think what surprises me, is how calm the driver remained, there was no frantic movement or panic breaking, just break, see gap and veer to gap...... and how you do not really appreciate ABS until something like that happens
Isn't it likely that this was a police car? Why else would he be filming a normal drive, especially at that speed. That would also account for his calm reaction to the situation as he will have had the training.
Not a police car as there is nothing "police like" in the inside of the car. In car cameras for insurance purposes is becoming more and more popular to avoid non fault discussions.
