Hello my name is Dave and I live in Aberdeenshire. I'm hopefully in the final throws of selling my Lotus Elise so I now have my sights on a Z4M Coupe, I have owned various TVR's in the past and fancy something different. I originally started thinking of a low milage Z3M Coupe but these are now out of my price range.
:)

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I hope you find one you like soon.

Hi and welcome. Hope you find what you want.

Another Zed going north of the border must leave only a handful left n England!

Welcome aboard Dave. :) Great part of the world for driving. Any nice pics of your Lotus for us to peruse.

Hi ... I recently p/ex'd a Lotus Elise for a Z4 35is sDrive DCT 3.0 (!) ... I can promise you that the difference will be somewhat noticeable! My sciatic nerve has taken a turn for the better now that I don't have to bend completely double - bit like Margot Fonteyn in Swan Lake - every time I got in and out of the car with its hard top on ... if you've got back problems they'll get better! Also your Z4 won't go crash every time it meets a little hole, or even a cat's eye! Fun though it was the Z4 is better in every way ... mine's got enough grunt to pull up tree stumps and, although it doesn't handle like the Lotus you'll find it's adequate! ... You know it makes sense!

Thanks for all the replies, I'm very much looking forward to some creature comforts after the Lotus, it was an itch that I had to scratch so been there done that!!
I'm a bit undecided about the colour although I quite like Blue, there seems to be a lot of Black cars around but I've always been under the impression that they are difficult to keep clean??
I've hopefully attached a photo of my Elsie that someone asked for.
Regards Dave.

Sweet looking car. Black is indeed a behitch to keep clean.

There is a thread running on the M Section of the Forum about colours! (And there are only a few that aren't white, a shade of grey/silver or a shade of black)!

Might be worth a look OP - Interlagos Blue is currently in front, followed closely by Imola Red - probably because they are actually colours.

Good luck with your search anyway - looking forward to seeing what you get.

And yes, any black is a PITA to keep clean although when the sun shone my Ruby Black Coupe looked fantastic if it was clean (so 2 or 3 days a year)!

BTW From what I have read on here, of the 588 UK Spec M Coupes made 56 were Imola Red and 144 were Interlagos Blue so if you have a colour preference you may need some patience!

Hi there - I'm also from abedeeenshire. Your Elise looks great! I had a VX220 before the Z4M (mine is a Roadster) and I don't regret the move a there was a learning curve as I'd not had a F-R car before but now I love it.

As sad as it is to say, moving to a car with working heating, a good stereo and heated seats has added a lot of fun to my journeys in it. Electric roof as well means no excuse to keep the lid on when it's dry :)

That said I think the Lotus/VX DNA is highly addictive - I can see an Elise/Exige/K20'd in my future for sure.

Well, the Elise set off for Welwyn Garden city yesterday afternoon and the new owner reported that he did it in 9 hours. So now it's a case of scouring the classifieds for a low milage Z4M Coupe , there does not seem to be a lot of new cars coming on to the market. I guess it's a combination of rarity and the time of year.

Hi and welcome - well almost! If you're still searching then don't forget there is a specific sale section on this forum for the Zed. People often letting them go to a fellow enthusiast for below asking price. You'll also have a bit of history behind the vehicle available through the threads, so you know it's been looked after, etc. Link here if you haven't seen the section already! Good luck Das882.

Thanks Kis, I've have already been looking and keeping an eye on the Z4 specific for sale column, as yet there has been nothing so far....I guess it's a combination of wrong time of year and scarcity.
Dave.
