Aaron's Z4M Coupe

So after a bit of searching I've managed to acquire a beautiful Interlagos Blue Z4M coupe with 53k miles on it. It was a non-forum private sale that happened to pop up in Coventry which is super close to where I live. The fella I bought it off was an absolute gent and had clearly cherished the car in his ownership which was a massive bonus.

If anyone read my original 'wanted' post I had said I was ideally looking for a White, Silver or Black Z4M based on photos but once I saw this one, it's condition, and how mechanically sound it was, I went for it regardless! Also the blue looks fantastic in person and the blue/black leather interior complements it nicely - I had thought before viewing it that it was going to be horrendous, thankfully that's not the case!

I have some plans for it (as it's pretty much stock) including some new wheels, upgraded intake and exhaust as well as possibly retrofitting a few bit's such as cruise control. This will all come in time though, as it all adds up. I'm super happy with her as she is currently and still can't believe she's mine in a way :D

Once I start doing any changes and mods I'll update this thread. Any and all suggestions welcome!

You blokes got a lot of stuff over there that was never available in the states, particularly interesting interior options. We never had any of the 2-tone seats over here. I had an Interlagos coupe for 8 years, would LOVED to have had those blue/black seats rather than the all-black which were the only black option here. Really livens up a too-black interior.

Beautiful car. Interlagos is an interesting color, which takes on different looks with different lighting, and also comes out variably in photos depending on many factors. Ultimately it just looks good though, and I always loved the fact that it's an M-exclusive color. Nice buy!

I just viewed the full-size version of the interior picture - what trim is on the dash/console? Looks like piano black or CF? We never got either of those here - our only choices were carbon leather, aluminum, or Madeira walnut. That's it.

Lovely car.

I’ve got a feeling this did used to be a forum member’s at some stage (fast3000)

I reckon so anyway, because I nearly bought it before him from a dealership around 5 years ago in Surrey! There can’t be many round with piano black dash, individual leather in interlagos !?

Gorgeous car.

Thanks for the welcome everyone - very glad to be in the MClub! Thanks for all the knowledge you guys and girls have already collected here, hopefully I can add to it over my time here.

Looks well - shame about the aerial

Haha cheers guys, I prefer the stubby myself but each to their own  Good thing I didn't buy one with a whippy and convert it to a stubby, eh!?

A beaut, and I reckon you are the only one with that colour combo. Congrats!

Yeah, that's right, it is the only one in the UK according to a handy little website I recently came across - there seems to be a LHD in Germany too with the same paint/seat/piano black trim.

The trim is piano black KevinC. Everyone seems pretty keen on the carbon leather to be fair so that's not a bad option, shame the other ones weren't available over there!

That must be right then -Tom-, as it seems to be the only one in the UK with that makeup and it was previously a BMW approved used. Therefore it seems it WAS a forum purchase, just unbeknown to the both of us  If that's the case - Hi fast3000!

Yes, lovely car!

Keeping it brief, the salesman was really proud of its history. It was something along the lines of the first owner being associated with the dealership; and I think the same dealership then sold it and bought it back a few times and they knew all the owners well. (Sorry for being vague, it was 5 years ago and I ended up getting one from Colchester in the end).

Enjoy!

Even less choice in New Zealand, reportedly 4 Z4MC’s imported by BMW in to NZ. I know 2 are Silver and 1 is Blue. There may be some imports but not aware of them. Maybe a good reason to come back to UK, not in winter though.

Thought I was being talked about.

Same name, same car, and only one town over from you.

Haha that's funny [ref]aarsavage[/ref]- I've not seen yours about actually! I've spotted quite a few of non-M cars in the area over the years I've been here mind, which is still nice to see, but the only time I saw an M was an Roadster at Caffeine and Machine a few weekends back. Should meet up and compare notes sometime!

That's really interesting - thanks for sharing that [ref]-Tom-[/ref]. If you can remember any more, I'd be interested in hearing it! Hows your's treating you after 5 years?

When I bought my new-to-me coupe last November, it had a stubby on it. I sold it for $15 and used the cash to buy a 2019 calendar. My old coupe was one one of the early versions of that calendar - gotta make it back this year. :tumbleweed:

I was tempted to get this as I am only in Banbury and was emailing the seller back and forth but well done on getting it and making me spend more money to get my M6 LOL!
These will go up in price as my old ZMCoupe had (cry!) which I had resprayed in Interlagos...lovely colour in different lights too.

[ref]aarsavage[/ref] So if that picture [ref]Simon 3.2M[/ref] added is yours then it turns out I HAVE seen your M, at Caffeine and Machine a few weeks back - Even added a picture of it looking pretty on the forum https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=112605

[ref]sp1xel[/ref] Haha - Congrats on the M6  Very different type of car though, how come you went that direction?
