How do I remove the light switch console!!! It's driving me mad! It has the aluminium cover and it won't pop off. What do I need to do please

Yeah cruise. Brute force and 2 metal clips was the answer. Took me 1h30 to work that out :'(

You should invest in a copy of the TIS. I'm sure if you search on eaby you'll find just what you need for a few £'s to cover every possible job on every BMW on one disk
The ALi panel that goes round the light switch just need to be pulled off, I used two credit cards to push between the ali panel and the dashboard and used a screwdriver beween them to lever it out going rond the panel a bit at a time.
Basically there a 3 (from memory) spring clips that hold it in place.
