Hi guys my free years RAC breakdown cover has just expired ? What's your thought on AA v RAC ?

Also is the AA car warranty any good ?

Any help would be appreciated ?

Greenflag is free with my bank including European travel, can't go wrong with that :)

I get free RAC with my bank account, however with my extended warranty I have breakdown included too.....with Mondial.

I have AA cos it covers me rather than the car, not sure the others do

I am the same as Taz. Covers the card holder and therefore any vehicle you are in.

Had to call them out once and took about 40 mins to get to me, which wasn't that bad :)

I joined RAC driver cover (any car) a few months back. Added additional name to policy and was about £70 for the year IIRC. Previously with Green Flag for years and they were great but wouldn't cover the Breadvan MC as it was....get this....too old?! RAC one of the only ones to cover it at a good price.

Green flag have some deals on at the moment. Heard nothing but good things and they scored quite highly in a recent Auto Express poll.

RAC full cover included with Barclays Additions Plus along with mobile phone insurance , extended warranty ( extra 12 months ) on unlimited items bought for £50 or over , annual family travel insurance ( up to 75 years ) etc

Have used RAC several times - no restriction on vehicle age - changed a cambelt on daughters old Astra , repaired a coolant leak and ignition problem on our 25 year old campervan even though it took over an hour each time.

RAC cover driver only too....

this must be newish, I will check their price at next renewal
I've been a member of the Rac since 2001 ,always covered name on the card .
I use my Tesco points to buy the cover,I would probably use Gem motoring assist
if I didn't use the Tesco points.

I use Motoring Assist http://www.motoringassist.com/ which gets excellent reviews http://www.knowyourmoney.co.uk/gem-motoring-assist-review/?gclid=CP6ylJKIucACFZMRtAod-xoAbQ
