A Winters Tale - My Zed Project

Nice work and car looked well all cleaned up.
I need to take my roof off to mend the motor and was thinking of moving it like you have.
Shame you not closer to me as I could have bough you a boot full of beer to bribe you to lend a hand in doing mine lol

The old motor needs hydraulic fluid, but whatever I put in it will mix with what's currently in the lines, so I don't know if it's wise to mix different types?

What a lovely zed, brought back to its former glory. Some nice time spent on that and not surprised it's sold already.

How nice not having to worry about the roof motor anymore :)
 
Thanks for all of your compliments chaps. :D

It does take some time and patience to restore it and I'm lucky that I can get in it a warm garage with the TV on. However, I needed to use it and put it through it's paces during the 4 months I had it, to find out what needed doing and also to keep it charged and ticking over. The gamble then is that nothing major goes pop whilst doing so, costing you a fortune ! :cry: ( I did break the windscreen by accidentally letting the wiper arm spring back, so that cost me £90 unnecessarily ! :headbang: )
I also found that the insurance company stang me for £50 to change the insurance from the Alpina and back again which I hadnt antiicpated ! :o

Still, I enjoyed it and am now ready to enjoy my Alpina again, so its booked in for an Inspection 1 service next week :evil:
