A whole different car

Those are the reinforcement plate bolts. The lollipop bolts I have never managed to torque down more than about 45Nm, they are not a brace like the reinforcement plate, and they are held in place by lugs on the chassis, so while I couldn't ever find the torque setting for them in my last two BMWs I did them down to around 45Nm and all was well
 
One last question (promise :o ), are the reinforcement plate bolts stretch bolts?, or ok to reuse the originals?
 
They are not stretch bolts in the same way as cylinder head bolts are, they don't rely on the stretch to tension them, so you can reuse them although they will inevitably have stretched a bit so would be better replacing them (although again if you don't you are very unlikely to have any issues on the reinforcement plate) . The lollipop Meyle kits come with replacement bolts for those.
 
No probs, while you are it you might want to get some PTFE spray to help ease on the new bushes, then they'll go on with a couple of belts of a rubber mallet.
 
Interestingly I dropped the car in to check the alignment & it was all off after just 5k miles of having it done - very weird as 95% motorway & never hit a pot hole.

The only change was putting on 19" csl reps post alignment, which I can't see changing any angles at all. The old wheels came off without issue, so there was no banging about of the suspension.

Confused as to why it was so out, but handling like a dream now! Happy, back in love with the car & no more aching arms on the motorway....just hope this alignment stays put!
