A week of Mods....With finished Photos

Excellent work! I do like the aero spoiler. I think the grills work with that setup, but would be worth taking Nosa up on his kind offer to give the black ones a try - careful though he will probably want to swap them for the steering wheel! Actually, now it's back together and you've driven it, how's the new steering wheel feel?

The new steering wheel is a relevation..... seems strange same car but the inputs feel different .... a little heavier..... very strange found i was happier driving without the sport button pressed whereas with the thin rim i would have it pressed most of the time to weight the steering.


will know better after the weekend when I've had chance to take it on a longer run.


Meets are very expensive...
 
thanks guys. i'm gonna pop over to bmw later today and see if i can get the clear rears ordered. i've been looking on ebay.de for a few weeks now but the last cheap set sold a couple of days before i bought mine and the remaining ones are quite expensive.

good job on the clear fronts and steering wheel by the way :thumbsup:
 
... see how you get on with price at your local dealer but I'd think about using Joe at Soper's Lincoln he will offer you a discount and the parts delivered to the house.

i havent made it to the bmw dealership yet but i did pass by a local alloy wheel shop where i was offered these new 19inch bbs style rims in a staggered fitment for 500 pounds... i was about to buy a set but was told they didnt have them in black and silver, only silver, so i had to pass

i was then offered a set of 19 inch csl style rims in black with a red stripe around the edges for 450 but i prefer something with a bit of dish :headbang:
 
Looks great, amazing what a difference the clear lights make. What was BMW thinking in the first place putting on those orange lights :headbang:

Couldn't agree more they totally transform the feel of the car.
 
Zermatv- did the insurance go up with your modifications? Did u tell them of the steering wheel?
 
Go to getbmwparts.com and go to part search with part number: type in this part number 63210151626

Should pull up Clear Lens Kit Z4. The kit includes, rears, sides, new roundels for sides, and clear third brake
