A thousand miles in IMmie!

I've managed about 6000 miles a year the last 2 years, mainly on unnecessary journeys on days off. I hate leaving it at the Heathrow car park and take the rust bucket instead. The M4 isn't the natural habitat of an ///M anyway!

Since my Inspection 2 back in Nov the mpg has improved to an overall average of 21.0, from this:

ie. It hasn't.

Strangely this doesn't seem to depress me as it would in the other cars.

(This thread got me rambling, so I'll start a new one: (http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=49147)

About half the miles I've put on IMmie have been work related. I said I wouldn't but a couple of times visitors have wanted a look. She's going back to being a weekend, high days and holidays toy now :)

False alarm!

Stuart, IMmie is still the garage queen.

James Paul's 7k ///M roadster, actually has 7,954 miles on the clock:

It seems James Paul work on a 12.5% margin of error basis. I wonder if you suggested thatthe £19k asking price should also be £16,625 based on their margins they'd be quite so "liberal" with their facts?

Personally I think saying that it's a 7k example, when it's an 8k example is pointless, lets face it 8k is hardly a turn off, but deceitful marketing to me always sounds alarm bells....what else are they prepared lie about?

On a separate note you often see 44,000 example cars marketing as 40k mileage. I guess a lot of people mark 40k as their cut off, so I see why dealers would do this, but in my opinion Honesty and forthrightness are qualities all to infrequently offered these days but invaluable when stumbled across.

When I enquired about IMmie she was actually 5995 or something similar. The sales manager at Sytner was going to buy her for himself then I got in. They were advertising her as a 6k car though and she had 6055 or similar on collection. Clearly a few Sytner test pilots :)

She's got a fault though, the head unit has failed to read a few CDs (proper boxed ones) and INPA shows the errors in the log when I checked. Going in for a check on Tuesday and hopefully a new head unit fitted
