A superb penultimate f1 race in store , or , maybe not !!

I'm not sure the regs allow the race director to allow 'some' of the lapped cars to overtake - the regs seem to say that they all overtake or none of them.

This may not be over yet....

Is it just me or does the Dutch National Anthem sound like Little Town of Bethlehem?

Oi, warning for you otherwise I will pull one of Lewis’s cards for something :poke: :D :D

Paraphrasing the protest - Seems to be in the regs that 'racing may only recommence on the lap following that in which all the lapped cars have passed the safety car'

Mercedes filed two protests.........either way I feel this championship has left a bad taste in a few mouths ........I hope the rules are tightened up for next year to stop this kind of controversy. Maybe get rid of Michael Massi for a start

Really be a shame if it gets overturned, for all involved. Agree that the rules need sorting out for next year…

I don't hear anyone bleating about Ham not giving the place back on the first lap.... :poke:

How many want to watch the last race in a title decider finish under the safety car...? If Max hadn't come in for softs would Moaning Merc be still be moaning that all the cars hadn't passed...? Hmmmmmmm......think not..... Red Bull outsmarted Merc at the death, Ham could have pitted for softs too but they played it safe and got tripped up. Max worthy worthy champ.

Apparently the FIA rules also say that the safety car has to complete an additional lap after the lapped cars have unlapped themselves - they unlapped themselves between 1/2 & 2/3 into the lap and Masi called it in the same lap.

This means that the race should have finished under the safety car - if the FIA follow their own rules (no guarantees about that), they'll count back 1 lap and Hamilton could have his 8th WDC

You mean where Max ran him off the track….again.

:? Legit move called motor racing that worked...Max didn't leave the track, hard but fair move.

f**k me John, he wasn’t even turning into the corner until he’d almost hit Lewis. He belongs in a circus driving dodgems.

He goes into every corner hot / late braking hoping the rival will do enough to avoid a collision.

If F1 has 2 drivers with the intelligence of Max then there will be carnage every race.

That move has been made a million times by drivers in the past DP, it's racing mate, hard racing. Do we want drivers in wansises crying every time a move is made...? Seems the stewards are at fault every which way today.
