So I bought my 2004 model two weeks ago. Car had the EPS light on which was WELL negotiated into the price.
I had a grease nipple fitted to lubricate the nylon joints that they are notorious for in hotter climate/weather. Tried to have the light reset to no joy. (Since been advised about GT-1 and read up on home to try and reset the steering angle sensor myself)
The steering is heavy but not unmanageable at slow speeds. At motorway speeds its fine, if a little jumpy.
Took the car on Friday after collecting from the body shop to Hampshire and returned to Glasgow tonight. After 910 miles I stopped at the garage just a few miles from the house to collect a few essentials. Came out started the car and the light went off and the steering is working?! Bizarre isn't even close! The only thing that has changed in the car is a rear bulb went on the trip home but can't imagine that's connected.
Any ideas?!
