Read that, thought you meant snow drifts, then re-read it properly. Nice to have a big drive

its not so much that its big more a nice smooth left right bend!!! so much fun and safe. Its very very slippy over as i drive up the driveway the snow builds up and comes up to bonnet level and starts making some serious crunching noises :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed: :tumbleweed:

If that a 5er beedub? Have you taken it out? My dad wants to take his 530 out and i said it should be fine as it weights a ton, but then looking around i dont see many rwd cars on the road

There was some very prominent footage of a 5er being pushed up a road on the news last night... With another BMW with it's hazards on stuck on the other side of the road

That said, it is about technique mostly, and other drivers...

 my dad is going to use his freedom pass today then!!

A saw a few abandoned 3er and 5er and various Mercs last night. With the amount of snow that came down here yesterday I don't think technique would've helped you.

Rhodesey ... How's the volvo holding up in the white stuff the mrs is keen on them

The XC60 is a great 4wd package (don't know why people buy 2wd's). Its jam packed full of technology which is mainly safety biased (blind spot radar, lane departure, look left and right camera/radar, pedestrian safety radar and probs lots more that I'm not aware of). This is the Polestar tuned auto D5 version with every option ticked and is giving me 33mpg with a 50/50 mix of city and motorway. Its the second XC60 we've had on the back of 3 x XC90's and I must say I prefer the XC90's looks and interior.
