A silver one anybody?

I thought i had seen one in silver in passing last week but then thought I must have been mistaken as Id assumed they didnt come in silver as they have all been red, black and blue so far.. i think silver suits it

I love this colour and the Z4 looks great in it. We don’t see many on the road full stop , fewer still in this colour.

They certainly seem to be rare in silver but I am going to go against the grain as I find silver to be a very wishy washy colour, it's neither here nor there.

I agree but several years ago my wife had a lovely looking red Mercedes SLK and when it came to part ex time the dealer said that he would have given us £500 more if it had been silver or black as those were the colours in demand on premium German cars.

Black is always in demand, although I think demand for more “interesting” colours has increased dramatically over the years.
I’m a prime example of that. Always had black or silver cars, but my last few have been adrenaline green abarth and misano blue g29.

I remember in around the 2000's when you walked into a Mercedes showroom 90% of the cars on the lot were silver, silver Mercs were all the rage back then. I used to have a Lachs Silver E30 3 series which was actually very nice colour since it had a hint of grey in it and we have had other silver cars in the household in the past too but now I have gone off them and find silver to be very a dull colour which is difficult to match properly if you need a panel repainting.

But yes it's true premium cars will always do better in 'safe' colours such as silver black grey dark blues and recently white (although not sure how long white will remain in flavour). I've always like the more 'interesting' colours, my E46 was topaz blue and my F20 was Melbourne red, when I bought my E89 black was at the bottom of the list but now I have got it and had it detailed I have to say it looks stunning, mean and agressive yet classy at the same time but it has to be kept clean or otherwise looks crap.

Thats the beauty of silver though, it can be dirty and still look clean :) people always comment how clean my merc daily is even if I haven't washed it for weeks, I can leave the washed and waxed dsb z4 on the drive undriven and after 3 days it looks filthy just from dust :(
Right enough it does look fantastic when freshly done but it just doesn't last. I think when I eventually move on Ill be avoiding really dark colours next time

Never saw a silver G29 advertised when I was looking, wouldn’t have mattered anyway as it is one colour I would not have bought it in. We are all different though, thankfully, so we normally find the car we want in a colour we prefer.

Only available on the Sport model, as has been commented before there is limited options on colour for the G29

No I'm sure when I got a back seat 'jolly' in a Tornado they all told me it was a huge adrenaline rush. Sure enough, I felt a rush, but when I got back to my room it as definitely brown.

6 was enough, believe me!
Who knew that the quickest way to move from one Welsh valley to the one beside it was to roll over the crest.
To paraphrase the Charge of the Light Brigade "Sheep to the left of me, Sheep to the right of me, sheep above me............."

Funniest bit was after we took off from Marham. The jockey says "Look, that's Peterborough in 8 minutes, your fancy 2.8i Capri wouldn't even be out the camp gates yet!".
That 'jockey' ended up as Sir Stephen Hillier, Chief of the Air Staff. so he obviously listened to my advice! :D
