I spent 7 hours at Coastal Racing today having the MINI put back to factory standard :(, to make way for the Z4.

All my hard work, planning and saving gone in the space of 7 hours. :(

ON THE PLUS SIDE
Bring on the Zed!!!!!!!!!!!!! :driving:
oh and ive got a few quid in hand from all the bits :)
 
To be fair it wasnt just my MINI that was getting attention, as I do some work for them they fit me in arround other work, However it did take some time.

Back to factory suspension
back to factory bonnet scoop
replace the cat (was a right pain)
back to factory steering wheel
Remove gear shift light (need to remove some lower dash
back to stock gear knob
back to factoy pipe from intercooler to turbo
 
Here, its was also featured in a mag 8)

Last time on a rolling road it produced 268 BHP 290 torques, however I fitted a full decat after that :).

Ps. I work for coastal racing, im not trying to be a chav boy racer with a sun strip graphic :rofl: .
 
Apologies, I don't know too much about the mini it appears. So its a John Cooper Works, very nice.

Enjoy the Z4, I have had mine since March and I still havent gotten bored of it which is unusual for me.
 
sort of on topic..when I was young, right after the last dinosaur croaked, in about 1973, my buddy picked up a rebuilt Mini Cooper S from his neighbour (he dumped it for a new porsche, e also had a Morgan, feckin surgeons...too much money to burn :D ) WE got a speeding ticket in it the first day out, never even got into second gear and the law pulled us over ....he eventually got it bored out to some stupid displacement and managed to blow it up doing somewhere in the 155 mph neighbourhood. Then he sold it to a hillclimber .....sorry to see it go.

Wild little cars in their day but I don't think it had even close to 268hp . how do the new ones compare to the originals???
