Just had the side bolsters re-leathered on the drivers seats, (we all catch them as we lower ourselves in - or is it just me!) and have been mighty impressed by the work.
Difficult to recommend on just one visit, but it's nice to know that if the leather gets damaged again, I'll know a decent and reasonably priced place to take it.

Out of interest, how much did they charge?
£145 including sourcing the leather from BMW (and we got the remaining 3/4 fleece). No idea if that's good or bad, but I wouldn't have known where to start.

Any pics too please?

Pics look just as they did when the Champagne leather left the factory! They matched the stitching colour, lengths, everything!
Pretty simple job for them I imagine, as it's nothing too flash.

Long time no post on this thread, but feel the need to re-energise as just got some more cracking work done.

Took our Alu centre console out of the car and left it with A.S.Pickering for a couple of days, and £55+vat later they had turned it into a leather wrapped console :)

We weren't too fussy with the leather match as it was all a bit of an experiment, but really, really pleased with the results - pinch points such as the sport button had been carefully cut out, whilst all other overlaps had been trimmed neatly and stuck at the rear. (p.s. In the pictures below the leather dash is OEM - it's the centre console that was trimmed)

So i's a quick shout out for David - a Top Job - it makes the place look a lot more classy :)

That looks really nice, and for £66 that is a bargain!

It begs the question, how much would they charge for the 2 dash trim pieces as well. I think I will get in touch :)

Looks like a great job there Tony Ruth's coupe is coming along a treat, look forward to seeing it at the National

Give him a call and mention he did one last week for us (Ruth spoke to David at his shop). The worry he had was anything that fits internally to the console as the leather takes up 2mm each side. We had that problem with the ashtray / switch unit, which although much tighter still fitted (with use of credit cards and some force) - you will have the same issue with the centre vents and lights module on the main dash pieces.

To give you some comfort though the OEM leather dash is wrapped in exactly this way and I think it's based on the standard Alu dash as on the reverse it shares common part numbers - would be your risk though.

Might be bit more though as we used an offcut and he might not have enough similar leather for all 3 pieces - flip side is that he might have found the work dead easy and keep the price keen - we said others might follow.

Would definitely like to see before and after pictures!
Me too

Pictures of what? Dash pictures look to have worked OK - leather seat from 2010 is still holding up well and still looking OEM - can take a picture but pretty useless as it's just a leather bolster.

Me too! Wonder if they would do it by post?

I would have thought so - take a look at their website, they do lots of different auto stuff and I imagine these jobs are just fillers between their larger stuff.

Might mean you car looks like this for a week or so though ;)

When you got the seat bolster done, did you take the seat out or did they? How long did it take?

Thanks

We left the car with them, from what I remember I left it in the morning and picked it up at lunchtime.
