A Really Fun Day

Collected our cars today and spent the day just driving and getting to know the Z and having fun. Even put the roof down for a short while. No photos yet before you ask, but will soon. Fiddled and tinkered with everything. Used plenty of fuel cause the sound of the engine is too addictive. Then thoughts of oops may be running in is more than 20 miles and how much are brake pads calmed me down. Extremely fast too but stuck to all the speed limits (in case boys in blue read the forum) even when this afternoon I had a good straight open road in front of me for a couple of miles at one point. Grabbing a bite to eat then thought I might check if the headlights work ok.
One little niggle today was forgetting to press the button before engaging reverse but apart from that all good.

I got yellow 35is and my wife a white X5 30d ES which was a bit embarrassing for the sales manager as he thought it was the other way round. Originally I was getting 28 auto but buying the two cars together got cracking deal on the 35 :)

Fantastic.. I'd love a go in the is to see what it can do over my 35i..

The other half is from Stockton btw.. Hartburn village.

Congratulations on the new cars mate and welcome to the forum. Enjoy them - that's why you bought them and worry about fuel and brake pads later haha!

Heartburn not far from us, we are at Sedgefield. Took the X5 for a spin tonight. Drives well and all the controls are like the Z so straight in and away but nearly through the windscreen when braking. The brakes on the X5 are a lot sharper than the Z. The X5 has that same silly button for choosing reverse. Why do we need the button? Never had an auto with it before.

My son took a photo and has posted it on Facebook from his phone. Not sure I can get it on here but can try this
