A question of timing

A couple of questions after reading about the 2.0 N43/N46 timing tensioner issues

Does anyone know if replacement tensioners are modified to correct the issue?

Have any of you 2.0 owners changed the tensioners / chain before any signs/symptoms of damage?

I ask because my first service on the Zed 2.0 I purchased last year is due. I plan to ask the garage to inspect the timing chain for issues.
That got me to thinking is it worth replacement as a service item periodically.

When i first got my zed when starting up, it sounded like a machine gun for a few seconds :o Changed the tensioner & has now been perfect for 6 years. So it would be a good call to replace at least for peace of mind. And yes i believe the tensioners were modified around 2006.

Cheers, tug
