A question about Z4 M's Nurburgring track time

I too pondered about this when i was looking but decided on the Z in the end purely down to the fact it was a new car and not an "M3". Not the best of decisions as they now command upward of £27k V £18-20k for our cars :(

You tart... :nahnah:
Well I'd be happy to keep the Z4MC if it had better seats, SMG (with paddles), and some carbon panels - and I probably should have bought that 56,000 mile CSL on BMW AUC instead of the Z4, but thought the M3 didn't look 'special' enough. So the Z4MC won.

Anyway, why pay for all those mods and ruin a perfectly good ZM4C when I can simply get a M3 CSL, and get two extra seats (I'm not a little lad and was not uncomfortable over a 200 mile trip in it - although I did have the promise of driving it back to look forward too).
Isn't a decent CSL about 10k more than an MC? You could fit a lot of carbon panels for that amount and not 'ruin' it. ;)

if you spent the difference between what I got offered as a trade in by BMW vs. E61 M5 and what an OK-ish CSL with 45k miles commands in the trade these days, the CSL will need a pretty decent set of binnoculars to be able to see your rear number plate. £10k spent in the right places on a Z4MC will make a car capable of GT3 hunting... Been there, done that, got the medal with another make... Money - the great equalizer in the lap time stakes
