Having just dropped a photo on a new members MC post in the same colour as my MR, I suddenly got to thinking that I’ve done so much to my car since buying back on September the 1st... and so much has happened in the world too! With this in mind, I thought I’d post a few photos and a bit of an update on progress
so gutted not to have it on the road right now because of the ‘rona, as I’ve had friends who have had abuse hurled at them for even daring to drive a convertible car over the last two months and I really didn’t want to be the guy taking it out just for the hell of it. I’m absolutely in love with the car though, and cannot wait until we can all start meeting up again to share our love of these great cars 
Here’s a chronological list of everything I’ve done to this point:
-front brake discs and pads (ATE discs, genuine pads)
-n/s/f brake caliper
-3rd brake light replacement
-///M badges replaced
-defective n/s folding mirror assembly replaced
-full car professional machine polish and detail, interior, exterior, engine bay, wheel stations, bonnet wing and mirror leading edges finished in clear PPF
-SPR billeted front strut brace
-BMW genuine stubby antenna
-LED interior lighting
-genuine ZHP gear-lever
-private registration (OS54ZMR) purchased, assigned, and plates from original selling dealer purchased and fitted
-insp2 with valve clearance check and all oils
-brake fluid change
-gear oil swapped out for better mix
-VANOS refurb
-big end shells replaced and oil pump inspected
-bank two o2 sensor replaced with genuine part
-Bosch aero wiper replacement
-windscreen treated with rain-X
I think that’s it right now, so I’ve just got left to do the following:
-wheel refurb
-front and rear bumper resprays
-possible royal steering wheel retrim and replace plastic parts

I’m always looking for inspiration on any other mods which people find enhance the original car (which is how I’m keen to keep it a close as possible)
